Birkenau

Birkneau is never a easy place to photograph for a number of reasons mostly because it is full of tourists and sad place as well.
I do like the stark contrast of the barbed wire fence with the cattle car however the focal point is a bit off in that my eye goes to the tracks. If that was not the intent then centering a bit with the car would have done the trick. Pulling back from the tracks to give the feel of the hopelessness and focusing on the car would have been my preference.
Black and white is often done with photos of Birkneau and Auschwitz however perhaps color only the car against the the rest of photo can ,also, bring out the gloom and sadness as well.
Again,these are only my personal thoughts on the piece.
Overall,it is,like every photo in my collection, haunting,moving and worthy.
I give overall 4.5 stars simply because of technique and see room for improvement just a little there but not much. Overall it is a haunting photo.
Remarkable job and the impact is wonderful.
